How to Request Data Deletion
If you have used our services or connected your account through any of our applications — including Indie Author Media on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok — you have the right to request deletion of all personal data we have collected.
What Gets Deleted
Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently remove:
- Your account information (name, email, profile details)
- All data collected from connected third-party platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon Advertising)
- Analytics and performance reports generated from your data
- Any stored OAuth tokens and platform credentials
Posts we publish on TikTok channels that we own and operate, including channels rented to an author under the Channel Rental Addendum, are our operation of our own accounts rather than personal data we hold about you, and what happens to those posts after a rental ends is governed by paragraph (h) of that Addendum rather than by this deletion process.
What We May Retain
In limited cases, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Legal obligations: Financial records required for tax or regulatory compliance
- Fraud prevention: Minimal data necessary to prevent abuse
- Aggregated data: Anonymized, non-identifiable analytics that cannot be traced back to you
Revoking Platform Access
You can also revoke our application's access directly from each platform:
- Facebook/Instagram: Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites → Remove "IndieAuthorMedia"
- TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage App Permissions → Remove "Indie Author Media"
Revoking access stops future data collection but does not delete previously collected data. To delete stored data, please submit a deletion request as described above.
